This video was an absolute delight and horror to work on. Getting the cloth simulation to look good enough with out crashing Unreal was a bit tricky. In the end I think it turned out pretty good. I used Maya to create the models and firefly wing animations which where then imported into UE4. Shaders, Lighting, and bug flight animations where done inside UE4's sequencer. The final video was captured as an image sequence and brought in to After Effects.
